Introduction

ˇ°East China Oils & Fats Industries (Taixing) Co., Ltd.ˇ± (ˇ°ECOFˇ±), one of diversified businesses of ˇ°Twin Wealth Groupˇ± was established in 2004. The total investment was amounted to USD50 million with an aim to supply palm oil downstream products. Its production complex of 12 hectares (105 acres) is located at Taixing Economic Development Zone in Jiangsu Province of China, strategically along Yangtze River where the products can be distributed to the edible oils & fats and oleochemical markets in East and Central China.

COF is an oil refinery complex which only took nearly 8 months' time from planning and design to ground breaking and commissioning. The Ground Breaking Ceremony had been officiated by Dato' A. K. Majid, Ambassador of Malaysia, Mr. Jamal Hassan, Consul General of Malaysia (Shanghai), Tan Sri Dr. Yusof Noor, Chairman of Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA), Mr. Mao Weiming, Ex-Mayor of Taizhou Municipal People's Government, Mr. Li Chunjiang, Vice Mayor of Taizhou Municipal People's Government, Mr. Cao Sumin, Secretary of Taixing Municipal People's Government and other local government officials. The plant began trial production in July 2005 and full operation at the end of 2005.

Production Complex

ECOF is equipped with the imported machineries and state-of-the-art technology in different oil processing facilities including (1) physical refinery; (2) chemical refinery; (3) fractionation plant; (4) spraying chamber; (5) hydrogenation plant; and (6) multi-purposed tank farms. The annual production capacity is up to 700,000 metric tons.

Products

With the latest technology and plant facilities in ECOF, a variety range of oils & fats products can be made to fit different market demands and customer needs, including

(1)   Refined and Fractionated Palm Oils (12-18oC Super Olein, RBD Palm Olein, RBD Palm Oil, RBD Palm Soft Stearin, RBD Palm Stearin, P.F.A.D., Packed Stearin etc), Refined Soybean Oils, Refined Rapeseed Oils ¨C

for frying, cooking, shortenings, margarines, vanaspati, ice cream, soap and food emulsifiers etc;

(2)   Palm Oil Feed Pellet ¨C

our product brand ˇ°Twin Wealthˇ± is made of RBD palm oil which is pure vegetable oils with concentrated phospholipid in soybean and natural ¦Â-carotene that can be directly mixed with feeds for poultries, livestock and fishes;

(3)   Hydrogenated Oils (Hydrogenated Palm Oil, Hydrogenated Palm Kernel Oil, Hydrogenated Coconut Oil) ¨C

for confectioneries, coffee whitener, filled milk and coating fats etc.

A professional team was set up to manage the day-to-day operation and production of ECOF. Also, ISO9001:2000 Certificate has been awarded to Taixing Plant successfully. With this Certificate for compliance with the system standard, the quality management can be enhanced effectively that each production process can be monitored to ensure the consistent quality of our products and to increase the confidence of our products among customers. Meanwhile, together with the well-established infrastructures like pier, roads, packing facilities, tank farms etc, ECOF is not only a self-sufficient oils & fats manufacturer for the Group, but also serves as a major supplying center of edible oils & fats to food makers and factories around the Yangtze triangular area.
